Samsung has come up with a Stay New plan, under this plan Samsung offers its customers to upgrade their smartphone by giving them easy buyback offer and low EMIs after 6 months of the purchase of the product.

Samsung launches devices very frequently, with this people who have bought a smartphone feel that there smartphone is no more in the competition and it has done obsolete. With this plan customers can eventually upgrade their Galaxy smartphone or tablet after 6 months of purchasing the device.

This offer is valid for purchases made through HDFC, ICICI, Citibank and Standard Chartered bank, the customer after purchasing the smartphone can call the bank and convert the transaction into EMI depending on the product chosen. The devices that are covered under this scheme are Galaxy note 2, note 3, Galaxy S4, S3, Tab 3 and Tab 10.1.

How it works?

Here's how it works:
Purchase the Samsung smart device of your choice on your credit card.
Convert the credit card payment to 18 low EMI installments (depending on your choice of device).
You can choose to retain the device by paying the EMIs for the full duration.

Back Up PC photos to Google+ with all new version of Picasa

Google's Picasa is now brings Google+ Auto Backup to the desktop. Now, all images of Google+ are backed by Picasa image tool.

Google+ Auto Backup is a convenient way to make sure all of the images you capture with your smartphone are being backed up. But while that takes care of the images you take with your internet connected smartphone or tablet, it doesn’t offer much for those who save images from a regular camera on their computer. Well, it seems a bit of Google+ Auto Backup desktop convenience has been added with the latest update for Picasa.

This Picasa update sits as version 3.9.137 and is available for both Mac and Windows users.

The distinction here is the Google+ Auto Backup option comes as a separate utility as opposed to an option within Picasa. Regardless though, this means Mac and Windows users now have a decent solution for backing up images. The setup will allow you to choose different folders and sources to include inserted media cards.

There is also a few options in terms of the size of the images. Google is offering the ability to upload an unlimited amount — provided the images are using the photo resizing option. This basically means the image will be resized to 2048 for the longest edge. Those looking to upload full quality images can do so, but keep in mind those images will count against your Google Drive storage.

The Google+ Auto Backup for images will sync in the background, similar to how things work with Drive and/or Music. And similar to how you can easily view the images you take on your smartphone or tablet on the web or other devices, the same will apply to images backed up from the desktop. Bottom line here, Google is now offering backup and access for images stored on your desktop system.

How to Learn Something New Every Day

1
Use the internet. Using a search engine (e.g. Google, Yahoo, and MSN) and type in something you've always wanted to know. It could be anything from the history of a play to the process used to package your favorite snack.
  1. 2
Pick up a book such as a dictionary or encyclopedia.
  2. 3
Talk to someone you know: a teacher, a friend, an uncle, or even your parents. Ask them to tell you about something they experienced or saw when they were growing up.
  3. Pay attention during your classes/lectures/trainings. You'll definitely learn something.
  4. Watch educational television. National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, Modern Marvels, your preferred news broadcaster, etc. A lot of information is presented via the television. There are many opportunities to pick up a fact or learn more about an incident you only had vague knowledge of when watching educational television.
  5. Read. It doesn't matter what. The morning paper, the ingredients list on the cereal box, billboards and street signs on your way to the bus stop (or while you are on the bus), magazines like National Geographic, Wired, etc... Just read and learn. Reading the editorial in the newspaper helps you understand what's going on in the world. Magazines usually contain all sorts of stories and information on various topics. And who doesn't want to know what's in their food, or where the best sales are?

4. NOTEPAD++
If you’re still using Windows’ default notepad app, you’re doing it wrong. 5. STARTISBACK
If you’re just turning on your first Windows 8 computer, the new software is going to be jarring. Over a decade ago, the VLC Media Player gained a reputation for playing any audio or video file, no matter how exotic. That hasn’t changed. Even corrupted, half-downloaded files will sometimes still play. The app’s ugly interface is a small price to pay.

mpassport- Indian Passport mobile app for Android, iPhone and Windows users

The Ministry of External Affairs has launched Indian Pass port seva Project and now its mobile application for making it more easy and confront with market challenges.

Users can now access this information on their smartphones using mobile app mPassport Seva.
video

mPassport Seva is designed primarily for the citizens who are interested in Passport related information only. It's a light weight, easy to use app that provides specific details on areas such as Location of centers, Fee, Application Status, Contact Information and other General Information.

The app provides information on various steps involved to obtain a passport related service and where to call in case of queries or concerns.

The users are able to search for a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or District Passport Cell (DPC). Citizens living overseas can find out relevant information about the Missions/Posts abroad. For certain states and districts, the users can search for Police Stations as well.

Fee Calculator feature of the application enables users to find out the required fee based on the service and mode of submission.

The users can track status of their passport applications using file number and date of birth. For dispatched passports, the delivery status can also be tracked.

Tata Consultancy services has designed this application in coordination with passport seva authorities.

mPassport Seva is now available on Android, iOS Platforms and Windows. Latest version of the application can be downloaded from the following:

Best Apps for Windows SmartPhone

Best Apps for Windows SmartPhone:

1. TUNEIN RADIO:

TuneIn Radio is a boon for anyone out there who still appreciates radio. The app boasts well over 100,000 stations, including local favorites as well as national broadcasts like NPR, ESPN, and the BBC.

2. CAMSCANNER

CamScanner is a surprisingly versatile scanning utility that can almost completely replace your office’s scanner. It can, of course, process the documents you need at the office, but it can also intelligently scan photos and crumpled letters. It even goes the extra mile, allowing you to keep them all organized on your SkyDrive.

3. MICROSOFT SMARTGLASS

Windows Phone remains the perfect companion for controlling your Xbox 360, but the SmartGlass functionality is now available on the Xbox One as well. New supported games include Dead Rising 3 and Battlefield 4, and you can also use the app to keep up with friends on Xbox Live.

4. VINE

Six-second video sharing service Vine is another latecomer to the platform, but it’s on par with offerings for iOS and Android. Support for Windows Phone’s Live Tiles lets you pin your favorite users to your home screen.

5. HIPSTAMATIC OGGL

Hipstamatic Oggl is a bit of an odd beast. It came to the platform in a time when Windows Phone didn’t have Instagram yet, so it might seem unnecessary nowadays. That said, it offers a unique, welcoming interface for photo lovers that rewards experimentation. It may not have the community behind it, but it’s worth toying with to get the perfect shot worth sharing.

6. SPOTIFY

Spotify only arrived on Windows Phone 8 early this year, so it was appropriately met with excitement. To date, the app still feels a bit like it’s in beta (no radio), but if you’re a subscriber, it’s an absolute must.

7. 6SNAP

Snapchat is another major app that hasn’t reached Windows Phone, but don’t fret. The developer behind 6tag developed 6snap to mimic Snapchat’s functionality in every way. It does not disappoint.

8. CIEL

Ciel combines a bit of Instagram with Foursquare to create something a little more whimsical than basic filtering. The photos you take in Ciel can be annotated with the weather in your area and graphics that correspond to the place where you’ve just checked in.

9.627.AM

627.AM is the perfect personal organizer for Windows Phone users. It’s not quite Siri, but it can keep track of appointments, memos, and alarms, all while aligning with the weather so you know when to skip a meeting because of the rain.

10. FACEBOOK BETA

Facebook on Windows Phone was subpar for a long time — until Facebook granted users access to the beta version of the app. Unlike other beta products on the platform, Facebook Beta is a testing ground for some of the better new features that people would actually want to use. You need this.

11. METROTUBE

Windows Phone lacks a proper YouTube app, though not for lack of trying. Microsoft’s storied battles with Google have left its own once-great app just a wrapper for the mobile site. Now, Metrotube is forced to step back into the spotlight. It’s as good and reliable as ever, and that’s enough.

12. WEATHERFLOW

Weather Flow is one of Windows Phone’s better weather clients. It gives glanceable updates on weather from the home screen, and it has a gorgeously minimal interface that’s worth diving into. It also has lock screen support so you’re never unprepared for what’s outside.

13.  NEXTGEN READER

Nextgen Reader is still the gold standard of RSS readers for Windows Phone. It boasts an incredibly fast and clean interface that can handle your early morning reading with ease. Until Flipboard finally lands, this is your news reader of choice.

14.  6TAG

Even though Instagram finally landed on Windows Phone this year, it’s still lacking in a few areas — most notably video. As far as third-party clients go, 6tag is essential for offering a full-featured and surprisingly intuitive interface.

15.  DUALSHOT

DualShot is simple, like Frontback on iOS, DualShot. Take a picture of what’s in front of you, and then another of yourself. Stitch the two together, and you have a cute picture of yourself reacting to a moment: simple, fun, and elegant.
